It is suitable to apply in UV coating of most substrate and UV printing ink.

    Description:

Modified Epoxy Acrylate 6116: The Versatile Expert in UV Coatings

Amidst the revolutionary wave of UV coatings and inks, modified epoxy acrylate 6116 has emerged as an ideal choice for cross-industry applications in wood, plastics, metals, and paper. With its unique combination of low viscosity, minimal shrinkage, excellent flexibility, strong adhesion to multiple substrates, outstanding pigment wettability, and refined matte texture, it enhances both the efficiency and aesthetics of surface engineering.

    Low Viscosity for Silky-Smooth Application

With a viscosity of ≤500cP at 25°C (Brookfield test), it easily penetrates wood grain and microscopic metal pores, ensuring uniform coverage on complex substrates. This makes it particularly suited for intricate wood carvings and precision electronic components, significantly improving yield rates.

    Minimal Shrinkage for Dimensional Stability

With a curing volume shrinkage of less than 2% (ASTM D2566), it offers near "zero deformation," preventing internal stress-induced cracking in wood coatings or warping in metal-plated layers. It ensures the dimensional stability of high-precision decorative panels and 3D-printed parts.

Superior Flexibility for Dynamic Crack Resistance

With an elongation at break exceeding 120% (ASTM D638), it adapts to the thermal expansion and contraction of plastics or the bending of paper, making it ideal for flexible applications such as UV varnishes for soft packaging and protective coatings for foldable screens, eliminating the risk of brittleness.

    Cross-Material Adhesion for Seamless Bonding

It achieves a 5B adhesion rating (ASTM D3359) on substrates such as wood, ABS, and aluminum, ensuring strong bonding without the need for a primer. This enables broad applications in UV coatings for custom furniture and printing inks for metal containers, significantly reducing delamination risks.

Enhanced Pigment Wettability & Matte Aesthetics

With superior pigment dispersion, achieving a fineness of ≤5μm (Hegman gauge), it delivers vibrant and uniform coloration. Its controllable matte finish (60° gloss value of 20-50 GU) provides a subtle yet luxurious visual and tactile experience for electronic device casings and high-end packaging

From matte protection in wooden furniture to precision coloring in metal printing, modified epoxy acrylate redefines the boundaries of UV coatings with its six-dimensional performance: low viscosity, dimensional stability, flexibility, strong adhesion, uniform coloration, and matte finish. It seamlessly integrates industry and artistry, creating coatings where efficiency and aesthetics coexist in perfect harmony.
